Having been delayed once, Warner Bros’ zombie title Dying Light has now had its release date moved forwards.
The game was previously due out in 2014 before being bumped back to February 2015. Now developer Techland says the game will be ready by January 30th in Europe.
There’s also a new video detailing the game’s ‘Natural Movement’ system. You can see that below.
In a separate interview on Eurogamer, Techland game designer Maciej Binkowski has admitted that the team has found it difficult seeing a sequel to its Dead Island being handed over to Spec Ops developer Yager.
"Right from the start, the IP was [Deep Silver’s]," Binkowski said. "At that point we weren’t really in a position to negotiate so that was the best deal we could get. I would love to make a direct sequel, but at some point a decision was made.
"We had our ups and downs. There’s always tension between the publisher and developer. They had a lot of ideas about how they wanted to run the franchise. Even with Dead Island there were a lot of moments where we would disagree on the creative vision of the project, so this might have been one of the factors. It was a bit tough.
"We’re still friends with the guys at Deep Silver, we meet at shows and talk and discuss stuff, so we knew they’re working on it."
Dying Light will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
