Speaking at the publisher’s E3 press conference this morning, president of developer Gearbox Randy Pitchford surprised the crowd by claiming that the title contained “over half a million weapons”.
Other surprises came when Ptichford showed off in-game dune buggies reminiscent of Halo, revealed that the title takes place on the planet Pandora – and executed foes with a ‘face melting’ weapon.
The gory credentials of the game were to put into context as Pitchford laid waste to enemies – which all lost limbs – stating: “Woah! That looked nasty.”
