That was the main news from Microsoft’s E3 presentation, though there were also plenty of other morsels to get stuck into – chief amongst them the news that Microsoft’s highly successful video-on-demand service will also arrive on this side of the Atlantic in time for Christmas.
And in addition, a deal has been struck with Disney that paves the way for the company’s hi-def animated movies to appear on the service.
Elsewhere in Peter Moore’s presentation, it was confirmed that a Halo-themed 360 console will arrive alongside the game in September, that the downloadable content for Rockstar’s GTA IV will be exclusive to Xbox 360 and that Resident Evil 4 will be an Xbox 360 title – though gamers will have to wait until next year for its arrival.
