Microsoft’s VP of marketing Jeff Bell went on to add: "Last year we said Xbox Live would grow to six million members. I'm happy to announce we've eclipsed the seven million mark."
In other Xbox Live news, it was also confirmed that to date there have been 45 million pieces of content downloaded from the service, with a value totalling $125 million.
