E3: The show must go on

This year’s E3 will be one to remember, even without a Nintendo press conference.

The platform holder has decided to not hold a full  press event this year, and instead focus on smaller showcases instead.

Meanwhile, although Take-Two will be at the expo, 2K Games will not have its usual E3 booth.

But this is not a cause for concern, says E3 organiser ESA. Exhibitor and media registration is trending ahead of last year’s show, with attendees expecting a blockbuster event that’s headlined by new Microsoft and Sony consoles.

“As you know, the exhibitor listing on our site is continually updated,” said ESA’s VP of event management Dan Hewitt.

“The list is not final and will continue to grow up until the show. Exhibitor and media registration numbers are higher than they were at this point last year. There’s a great amount of interest in this year’s event, especially in regards to the product announcements. This is promising to be the biggest E3 news event in years.”

E3 takes place in LA between June 11th and 13th.
