EA: Crysis 2 gets two special editions

Electronic Arts has announced no less than two special SKUs for the highly anticipated Crysis 2.

Launching alongside the standard game in March 2011 will be a Limited Edition and Nano Edition – both of which feature premium packaging and unlockable multiplayer content.

The Limited Edition will retail at the same price as the standard SKU, and will feature four batches of in-game content, including a special Hologram Decoy, weapon camoflage, a platinum dog tag and enough XP to unlock the five preset multiplayer classes.

The Nano Edition will not be available in stores, will only be available for pre-order and bears a price tag of 119.99. It includes a copy of the Limited Edition in a special steel case, as well as a statue of the game’s hero and an art book – all inside a backpack modelled on that game’s Nanosuit.

The two SKUs were announced during EA’s Gamescom conference, during which the publisher also announced Xbox 360 owners would be able to take part in a closed multiplayer beta later this year.
