Last week, EA treated community members and press to an afternoon of drinks, pool and a mechanical snowboard at Red Bull HQ.
The franchise reboot is set to bring arcadey insanity back to snowboarding, and stands in a field of its own with a wide open competitive landscape for this year.
EA booked out the warehouse style venue on the rooftop of Red Bull's offices in Alexandria and decked it out with fake snow, snowboards, an SSX standee (pictured), a giant bouncing castle with a mechanical snowboard in the centre and an open bar.
The event matched the mood and tone of the game perfectly, and while EA didn't have any developers on hand, it made up for it with some local pro snowboarders.
SSX will be available in March this year for PS3 and 360 (AUD$99.95 or NZD$119.95).
