EA lays off five per cent of staff

A flurry of US news sources – including Reuters, Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch – have reported the lay-offs, which could affect up to 350 staff.

The job losses are believed mainly to affect EA’s development studios. Staff were told of the cuts yesterday (Wednesday February 1st) ahead of EA’s Q3 financial statement today.

It is not yet known whether the job losses will affect Europe.
