Electronic Arts has completed the restructure of its UK PR team ahead of the New Year.
The department will still be led by head of PR Shaun White, who has been at EA for over six years. But White will now be supported by two new PR managers: James Bruce and Gareth Arculus.
Bruce joins from Brands2Life, where he handled projects for Activision and Namco. In his new role, he will manage EA’s Games label along with publicists Tom Goldberg and Bryony Benoy.
Meanwhile, Arculus joins from Merlin Entertainment, the parent company for UK attractions such as Thorpe Park and Warwick Castle. His responsibilities will centre around The Sims series and EA Sports.
Under him are two more publicists: Keith Hennessey for EA Sports and Gem Woolnough for The Sims.
“I’m very excited to have joined the PR team at EA and can’t wait to be a part of launching some of the biggest titles for next year including the highly-anticipated Mass Effect 3,” Bruce told MCV.
Arculus added: “EA is leading the way when it comes to innovative digital entertainment and I’m looking forward to contributing to what is sure to be another outstanding year for the company.”
PR boss Shaun White said: “I’m delighted to welcome James and Gareth at what is a very exciting time for EA. Both bring a wealth of experience and their passion for the games industry will bolster our highly talented team.”
