Following on from Battlelog and the proliferation of in-game social networks in general, EA is launching Street Network in March.
The service aims to drive competition amongst players, and will offer video upload services (similar to Dirt 3's YouTube integration from last year, although EA haven't specified a partnership with one particular video platform), leaderboards and score comparison options and of course muiltiplayer matches will be integrated into it.
While the initial reception to Battlelog was far from welcoming, EA COO Peter Moore has noted that every new service of this nature undergoes similar treatment at its inception.
FIFA Street producer Sid Misra said: "The Street Network brings that real-world swagger into the game by enabling players to capture video of those moments and share them with everyone in their street network to see, and providing friends with a way to compare each other throughout the game."
EA refer to the service as a 'new feature in FIFA Street', indicating that it may be a feature which pops up in future EA titles as well.
FIFA Street launches in Australia on 15th March and New Zealand on 16th March for PS3 and 360.
