According to a Gamespot preview, the title boasts 16 levels, penned by the show's writers, and features parodies of classic games such as Everquest, Grand Theft Auto and Medal Of Honor. Batman and EA are also spoofed in the title.
Each level has been constructed as an 'episode' of the programme and two-player co-operative mode has also been included.
“Our goal in developing The Simpsons Game is to create the most original game ever, which is a lofty goal and only possible given the close collaboration with The Simpsons' creative team," said executive producer of the project Scot Amos. “We’re also especially proud of the game's warm visual feel, which captures - for the first time ever in a game - the look of the TV show.”
