eGames announces titles for Rio de Janeiro Olympic pop up event

Just days before the competition is due to start, the games that will be played at the eGames pop up event in Rio de Janeiro have been announced.

First up will be SMITE, with the best Brazilian players competing in a show match on August 15th.

Hi-Rez Studios and Level Up are very excited to be part of the Rio de Janeiro eGames Showcase” said Henrique Fajardo, Level Up’s Product Manager for SMITE in Brazil, We have some of Brazil’s top SMITE players competing at this first event”.

Next up on August 16th, will be a Super Smash Bros. Wii U tournament, featuring EVO champion Elliot "Ally" Carroza-Oyarce competing for Canada, Leonardo "MKLeo" Lopez Perez competing for Mexico, Larry "Larry Lurr" Holland competing for the USA and James "J.Miller" Miller-Igietseme competing for Great Britain.

The event takes place at British House in the historic Parque Lage in Rio, the same city that is currently hosting the Olympic Games. For those of us not able to attend the event in person the event will be broadcastonline.
