Eidos makes a killing

Eidos’ latest Hitman title also claimed the number one spot on in the individual listings of every format it was released on. The Britsoft publisher's most recent Tomb Raider and Championship Manager 2006 releases also continue to perform well at five and nine respectively.

World Cup fever continues to sweep the nation though, with EA’s officially licensed title dropping to second place and Konami’s newly re-juvenated Platinum title Pro Evolution Soccer 5 taking the bronze.

Meanwhile there’s a strong showing for Rockstar’s single format Table Tennis title on 360, a new entry at four this week, and Activision’s big movie licence X-Men: The Official Game holds firm at six.

Nintendo’s cutesy DS game Animal Crossing: Wild World continues its impressive sell through, maintaining a top ten position at number seven, while 2K Games’ The Da Vinci Code is boosted up to eighth spot from last week’s number twelve thanks to the release of the movie. EA’s mega-selling The Sims 2 completes the top ten, dropping two places from eight last week.
