This time, Game Informer and Engadget have stuck their necks out to ‘confirm’ that the new model will cost US gamers $479 ($80 more than the existing premium model) and will arrive in April. This translates to around £245 in Sterling, but UK gamers can expect a considerable rise on this, given the Premium is currently on the shelves for £280.
When contacted, a Microsoft spokesperson would not comment on the validity of the rumours.
