After storming the Japanese charts under the name Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, and winning a dedicated fanbase since its release in North America last November, European DS owners have had to wait a long time for the chance to get to grips with the title.
The game sees a Charlie’s Angels-esque group of musical marauders roaming Japan in a quest to aid everyday folk in an assortment of perilous situations. Gameplay involves tapping the screen in time with the music.
The Manga-style visuals will be the same as seen in the overseas version, though European gamers will not be sharing in the cult Japanese soundtrack – instead, a Westernised playlist has been introduced, including the likes of Avril Lavigne, Freddy Mercury, David Bowie and Destiny’s Child.
