England demands games centre

The FA has sent its list of requirements to the South African base that will be housing the England football team during next summer’s World Cup – and chief amongst the demands in a luxury video games centre.

The room is set to be kitted out with Wiis and PS3s, according to The Mirror, with no-nonsense boss Fabio Capello keen to ensure that his players don’t become bored in their mid-tournament downtime.

We have had quite stringent requirements from England and we are fulfilling every one,” Gareth Simaan, boss of England’s South African HQ Cradle Hotel, stated.

We have space for PlayStations and Wiis and other lifestyle activities for the players.

It will be a home from home for them. The players will not want for anything while they are here – every need will be taken care of.”

The FA has also demanded a 7ft long bed for star striker and football legend Peter Crouch, incidentally.

Yesterday MCV reported that Liverpool striker Fernando Torres uses a Nintendo DS and copy of English Training to help himself learn the local lingo.
