Ex-Future PR joins IGN UK

IGN UK has appointed a new PR manager – former Future Publishing man Will Guyatt.

The UK’s largest game and entertainment editorial network has nabbed Guyatt to push forward its external comms and PR.

He will report to IGN UK marketing director Rich Keen and plans to work with editorial, commercial and senior management to extend the profile of IGN.com and men’s lifestyle site AskMen.com across both consumer and trade media.

Keen commented: Bringing in Will to head-up our UK PR will return huge benefits to IGN and AskMen.

His track record of delivering innovative campaigns across all areas of consumer and trade media will be instrumental in taking our market-leading brands and award-winning content to a larger audience.”

Guyatt left Future after six and a half years earlier this week, and has been appointed to IGN UK through his newly created business Media Guy.

At Future he oversaw a diverse portfolio of print, online and event brands – including GamesRadar, The Golden Joysticks Awards, T3 and Total Film.

The chance to work with the UK’s biggest online entertainment brands was too good to ignore," he said.
It’s an exciting time at IGN UK with the recent launch of IGN’s innovative search for new editorial and presenting talent in Game Changer, and the relaunch of AskMen, due in December this year.

Will Guyatt can be reached via (0203) 0774006 and wguyatt@ign.com
