Exclusive PSP games heading to PlayStation Store

With Sony’s currently PS3-only PlayStation Store planned to hit PSP and PC next year, SCEA has revealed that it is working on seven download-only PSP titles that it plans to distribute via the network.

Gamesindustry reports that of the internally developed titles three are action based, two are musical, one is a racing title and the other a shooter. They will all be shorter in length than the average UMD-based title.

Also planned for the service are further PSOne titles, demos for UMD games and multimedia content such as demos, trailers and interviews. Sony is also inviting third parties to participate.

PSP owners will be able to access the content via a wi-fi internet connection or via a PC connected to the handheld with a USB cable. The expected arrival for the service is some time next year, though the PC network may be active some time this winter in the US.
