Fable III has become the latest title to encourage gamers to buy new rather the pre-owned by offering exclusive DLC.
Xbox 360 owners who pick up a brand new copy of Peter Molyneux’s latest fantasy epic will find a code for a range of in-game items inserted into the box, according to Joystiq.
These include a Raise Dead potion, a Slow Time potion, a Scot Hero Outfit, the Highlander Tattoo Set and the Red Setter skin for Fable III’s dog companion.
This is the second time Microsoft has used this strategy to deter pre-owned sales and piracy following its use of a similar model with Alan Wake.
It has been tested earlier in the year by the likes of EA, THQ and Sony.
