Facebook has amassed more than one billion monthly users.
As well as reaching the hugely impressive milestone, 1/7th of the world’s entire population , more than 235 people are now also playing games on the website.
The recently launched Facebook App Centre meanwhile has more than 220 million monthly active users, whilst the social network also drives 170 million referrals to Apple’s App Store and Google Play each month.
Facebook on mobile meanwhile has attracted more than 600 million people each month from more than 7,000 different types of mobile devices.

King.com’s CMO Alex Dale, whose company attracts more than three billion game plays from its titles each month, said on the milestone: King.com started out on Facebook last year and we now generate over three billion game plays every month.
"We recently launched one of our top games, Bubble Witch Saga, on mobile. We can see already that the most engaged players are those that connect with Facebook Connect to play the game, synchronising their scores and progress across web and mobile.

Other impressive statistics revealed by Facebook after hitting the one billion user milestone includes the site amassing 1.13 trillion Likes and 140.3 billion friend connections whilst there are also 2.5 billion content items and 2.7 billion Likes shared every day on the site.
