Fallout 4 reveal sends sales of series rocketing

Bethesda’s catalogue of console Fallout titles has received a huge boost in sales following this week’s reveal of Fallout 4.

Videogamer spotted Amazon’s Movers & Shakers chart which has shown significant increases in the sales of many Fallout games.

Sales of the PS3 version of Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition, for instance, jumped 755 per cent while the original version climbed 611 per cent. The GOTY Xbox 360 version grew by 464 per cent.

New Vegas had a bump, too with the Ultimate Edition on PS3 jumping 321 per cent.

There’s been a similar pattern on Steam, too. Both Fallout 3 and New Vegas currently sit in Steam’s Top 10 sellers list, no doubt helped by a weekend promotion that has seen both cut by 40 per cent to 8.99.

Fallout 4 was officially announced on Wednesday. Signs suggest it may be released by the end of the year.
