FEATURE: PS3 tipped for Euro victory

Market analyst firm IDG has claimed that the strength of the PlayStation brand will eventually see Sony’s PS3 outperform Microsoft’s Xbox 360 in the European marketplace – though it picks DS as the format to watch out for.

However, in North America, IDG predicts that the heightened recognition of the Xbox brand will see it beat Sony into second spot.

Elsewhere in its latest report, the firm warns that the PSP may begin to struggle unless Sony unleashes its heavily rumoured redesign before the end of the year.
