FIFA 10 closes in on 10m sales

Sales of EA’s FIFA 10 are nearing the 10m sales mark, the publisher has confirmed.

As of the end of December, total sales of the game totalled 9.7m units since its release last October – success that EA boss John Riccitiello pins on the overwhelmingly positive critical reception the title enjoyed.

There has also been notable success for two other EA titles. Both Dragon Age: Origins and Left 4 Dead 2 have now surely passed the 3m sales mark. BioWare’s RPG had reached 2.7m sales by the end of December, with Valve’s zombie shooter hitting 2.9m sales by the end of the year.

This is a tremendous start for the Dragon Age franchise and we are extremely pleased with the great reception the game has already received from critics and fans worldwide,” BioWare boss Ray Muzyka stated.

Our team is dedicated to crafting high quality, engaging new adventures and stories in the world of Ferelden for our fans.”
