FIFA chart hat-trick

With the market falling in value by over 20 per cent week-on-week, Eidos’ Tomb Raider: Legend performs much the same claiming its third week at number two.

Eidos’ second top three title is Championship Manager 2006, which climbs seven places to third spot, just ahead of Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 5, which climbs 12 places thanks to its Platinum release.

EA’s The Godfather slips one place to fifth, whilst Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter slides three spots to sixth. Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: Wild World remains in the top ten despite dropping two places, whilst perennial PC favourite The Sims 2 re-enters the top ten, climbing three places to eighth.

Whether it can be attributed the E3 PS3 announcements or not, PS2 suffers the largest drop in software sales value this week – over 25 per cent. Conversely, Nintendo’s DS continues to exceed expectations, with the format now boasting three exclusive titles in the top 40 following Pokemon Link’s arrival at number 18.
