FIFA scores for fourth week

However, Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer might be preparing a valiant counter attack as its climb up the charts continues – a sales increase of nearly 60 per cent sees it climb to number two this week, thanks to it’s discounted Platinum re-release. It knocks Eidos’ Tomb Raider: Legend down one place to third.

Nintendo’s Animal Crossing continues to perform strongly, climbing three places to fourth spot, just above Eidos’s Championship Manager 2006, which sits in fifth.

Activision’s new X-Men III: The Official Game debuts in sixth spot ahead of the movie’s UK release, knocking Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter down one place to seventh.

EA’s The Sims 2 holds steady at eight, whilst Vivendi Games’ Ice Age 2: The Meltdown climbs one place to ninth spot. Propping up the rest is EA’s The Godfather, which slips five places to tenth.

Other new entries in the chart this week include 2K Games’ The Da Vinci Code in twelfth and Eidos’ Urban Chaos: Riot Response in seventeenth place.
