As a franchise, Final Fantasy has already sold over 70 million units worldwide since its inception in 1987.
“The PAL launch of Final Fantasy XII is our biggest release since Square Enix started self publishing across Europe last year,” said president and CEO of Square Enix John Yamamoto. “The game has already received Edge magazine’s Best Game award for 2006, and with over four million copies already sold in other territories, we are looking forward to launching it to our fans in Europe and around the world.”
