First Pokémon 3DS game out December 2nd

Super Pokémon Rumble for 3DS will arrive in the UK and Europe in December, Nintendo has confirmed.

The action adventure game is the first Pokémon title on 3DS. It has already been released in Japan as Super Pokémon Scramble, and will hit UK shelves on December 2nd. It will arrive in the US on October 24th.

As a 3DS exclusive, Super Pokémon Rumble allows players to battle waves of toy Pokémon alone or with friends using a wireless connection. There are over 600 in-game monsters to collect.

The game also uses the 3DS’ StreetPass feature. Gamers can challenge other users’ toy Pokémon as they pass them by which increases their chances of coming across legendary Pokémon.

Pokémon is one of Nintendo’s biggest franchises with over 200m game sales worldwide to date. Pokémon Black and White are the most recent DS releases in the series, which have sold over 11.5m copies worldwide since going on sale in Japan last year and in the UK earlier this year.
