Fnatic finishes League of Legends season undefeated

For the first time in eSports history a League of Legends team has finished the season undeafeated.

The Daily Dot reports that Fnatic won all 18 matches of its League Championship Series season. The previous best season performance was posted by Cloud9 in 2013 when it finished the season at 25-3.

Its final season victory was crowned in dramatic style, overcoming The Unicorns despite surrendering an early lead in the match. Attentions now turn to the LGC grand finals. Fnatic will have to claim another six victories if it wants a perfect finish to the season.

It’s actually a great feeling,” Fnatic captain Bora ‘YellOwStaR’ Kim said. I didn’t expect to have this season so far. We’ve struggled.

To me, we are taking it as a good experience and learning from our mistakes. We didn’t go for perfect, but you can’t expect better than that. Right now we’re just focusing on playoffs. Why not? Maybe we can make it a perfect run.”
