Foley returns to games industry

Koch Media has appointed Juliana Foley as trade marketing and purchasing manager.

Foley returns to the games industry following successful stints at EUK, Eidos, The Learning Company and THE Games/Nintendo.

She is part of a trio of new staff who have been recruited to help the company expand its presence in the casual gaming space.

Also joining the firm is Mark Jackson, who signs up as senior national account manager, having worked at The Game Factory as sales manager. Jackson previously worked at EA and LEGO.

Completing the new faces is Peter Ballard who is appointed as the company’s marketing executive for casual games.

Ballard spent 13 years at Universal Music, managing back catalogue titles for artists including U2, Ian Brown and Dusty Springfield.

Koch Media UK’s managing director Craig McNicol stated: Casual gaming has been the biggest phenomena of the past three years. Koch Media are receiving more and more requests for games that appeal to families and casual gamers.

Through our partners and products with high profile endorsements such as Ready Steady Cook, Jillian Michaels, The History Channel and the forthcoming Coronation Street, Koch Media are able to supply this demand. Koch Media has an exclusive distribution model with our partners which enables us to evolve commercially in response to the market.

We believe that the casual gaming revolution will cause a supply chain polarisation that we at Koch Media are now fully equipped to deal with.”
