Forbes: Sony IS working on new console

Leading news agency Forbes has stated that Sony DOES have a new console in the works.

Furthermore, it has revealed AMD as one of the partners of the project. This would symbolise a change in strategy – Nvidia was the driving force behind PS3.

The claims come from former AMD employees. Both AMD and Sony refused to comment when pressed.

MCV revealed in January that high levels sources have revealed to us that both Microsoft and Sony will use this year’s E3 to reveal plans for their next-gen platforms.

Sony has since denied the claims, though has for some time been telling partners behind closed doors that it does not want Microsoft to grab the same head start with the next Xbox as it did with 360, which released over a year before PS3.
