Kinect may no longer be flavour of the month at Microsoft, but the camera will still be getting some dedicated functionality in upcoming racer Forza Horizon 2.
Turn 10’s creative director Ralph Fulton has confirmed that the game will offer additional content for those who have the motion camera plugged into the Xbox One.
We’re still really excited about including Kinect. It offers opportunities we wouldn’t normally otherwise have,” he told Examiner. Kinect will be involved with a feature called Anna.
She is your digital personal assistant and navigation in the game. She is also very intelligent and will suggest things to do in the game and give you a recap when you return to the games. She will also alert you when friends are online.”
What won’t be included, however, is a single-player story mode as seen in the first Horizon.

Forza Horizon 2 will be released on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 30th.
