Free 3DS demos added to eShop

Nintendo 3DS owners will be able to download free game demos from tomorrow, starting with Resident Evil Revelations.

Users can access the demo using the 3DS’ online eShop service, more than one week before the survival horror game hits shelves on Friday, January 27th.

Platform holder Nintendo announced that demos of Konami’s Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D and Sega’s Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games will be available at a later date.

A demo for 505’s casual title Cooking Mama 4 will also go live tomorrow. The game is already available in stores now.

Demos were added to the Japanese eShop in December last year. Nintendo says the UK eShop will be periodically updated with fresh demos of other boxed games in the future.

3DS owners must perform a system update using a wireless internet connection in order to gain access to the eShop.
