Funcom developing Lego MMO

MMO developer Funcom is taking a break from its mature-themed titles to work on a licensed Lego MMO game, the company has confirmed.

The Age of Conan and Secret World developer is hoping for an offering that will appeal to a more ‘family-friendly’ audience, one that will be more broadly accessible than their previous offerings.

The market for family-friendly online experiences intended for children and youngsters is brimming with potential," stated Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas.

Lego and Funcom aim to make the MMO ‘a broad and enhanced experience’ for younger gamers, with the goal to bring the title to as many channels as possible.
