Future to launch new kids’ games mag

Future will launch a new video games magazine in November, targeted at pre-teen boys.

Zap! will cover games, TV, film, sport and toys aimed at the 7-13 year-old market, featuring parent-friendly content, with no games rated BBFC15 or over allowed.

The publication will also contain a cheats and tips section, plus puzzles and comic strips starring a cast of original robot characters.

“Zap! is designed specifically for the growing numbers of pre-teen gamers and will only feature games suitable for this audience, making it an attractive purchase for parents and ideal for publishers launching games aimed at kids,” commented editor Cavan Scott.

The first issue of Zap! hits newsstands on Thursday November 3rd at a cover price of £1.99. Published every three weeks, each issue will also carry a cover-mounted gift.
