GAME and Gamestation websites return as administration exit approaches

Both the GAME.co.uk and Gamestation.co.uk websites have been restored.

Some functionality – such as Reward points earning and spending – is not yet active, but will be reinstated soon.

Furthermore, other offers such as GAME and Gamestation gift cards will likely soon also be reactivated, despite recent reports to the contrary.

Furthermore, the reinstated website is also carrying both Kinect Star Wars and the Star Wars Limited Edition Xbox 360 console. Although MCV cannot yet officially confirm that Microsoft is now back on board the GAME bandwagon, it certainly seems that way – another very positive indication that GAME’s troubles are nearly behind it.

MCV incorrectly reported that GAME would be exiting administration today. We now understand that a conclusion to the saga IS very close, with a buyer very nearly in place, although the deal won’t be finalised until early next week.

The RBS bank consortium is understood to be the buyer in question.
