GAME confirms Scottish store closures and mergers

High Street retailer GAME has revealed it is making some changes to its Scottish store portfolio.

The company has confirmed to MCV that it is merging its two Livingston sites. It is also is closing its Hamilton store and merging it with the Motherwell branch.

In addition, GAME is opening a new store in Edinburgh’s Waverley Centre, following the closure of the city’s St James Centre.

There are going to be a few changes to our store portfolio in Scotland over the next few months,” said GAME stores director Dave Howard.

We remain committed to building the most valuable community of gamers across the UK and the recent store openings in London, Manchester and Southampton have really helped us to cater to an even bigger number of gamers.

"We want to be able to provide the best possible gaming destination for local gamers wherever they are, so plans are still in place to grow our presence even more in areas where there is not currently a GAME store.”
