UK retailer GAME doesn’t just see the Xbox 360 Slim as a chance to sell the console to a wider audience – it wants to sell the console to existing Xbox owners, too.
Speaking via Twitter, the retailer stated: “Looking for our trade-in deals for the new Xbox? We will have those all confirmed tomorrow so you'll be the first to know.”
It’s likely that discounts on the £199.99 machine will be offered to anyone willing to hand over their current Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii. Handhelds may also form part of the deal.
The Xbox 360 Slim – or the Xbox 360 250GB as we should really be calling it – goes on sale on July 16th for £199.99. Expect current machines to receive a price drop soon as Microsoft looks to clear the channel of stock.
