Retailer GAME has lifted the lid on a brand new mobile content portal as it strives to increase its penetration into the digital content market.
Users are now able to buy games, apps, wallpapers, videos and various other pieces of mobile content directly through their handsets.
“Gaming on the go is increasingly attractive to customers – whether it’s mini-games or mobile versions of well-known console titles, GAME Mobile will offer our customers a wide range of content for their handsets.” GAME’s general manager of digital Paul Howes stated.
“We recognise that gaming on the mobile device is a significant area of growth and we are bringing our expertise to the sector, seeing it as fundamental to our developing multi-channel proposition.”
GAME has also beefed up its other mobile offerings, with the GAME Mobile hub now linking to pages offering handsets, accessories and iPhone/Android game charts.
Sadly, there seems to be little in the way of iPhone content available at present, with most content instead targeted at traditional mobile devices.
