In what is sure to be the first in a long line of retailers praising Sony for cutting the price of PS3, GAME has welcomed the platform holder’s decision.
GAME Commercial Director Tricia Brennan said:

New to the market on the same day will be the 40GB model. It will retail at 299 – the same price Xbox 360 Elite – but feature only two USB 2.0 ports. It will also no longer include the multi memory card port and will lack backwards compatibility with PS2 games.
