Gameloft NZ cleared of poor working condition claims

Gameloft NZ cleared of poor working condition claims

The New Zealand Labour Department has issued its findings that Gameloft is not in breach of any health and safety regulations.

The New Zealand development studio was originally accused of artificial deadlines and unceasing stretches of unpaid overtime and 7 day weeks by Glenn Watson, former head studio programmer.

The accusations led to an inquiry by the NZ Labour Department into whether the developer breached the Health and Safety Employment Act (1992) by exposing employees to risk through fatigue.

Today, Stuff.co.nz has reported the NZ Labour Department's findings which state that 'no substantial evidence' was found suggesting poor working conditions, and that no action would be taken against Gameloft.

Gameloft has kept quiet on the whole process, neither weighing in on the original accusations or today's results.
