Games dominate Kindle listings

Amazon’s own-branded monochrome e-reader Kindle is proving a surprisingly popular games machine.

Kotaku spotted that according to the retailers Kindle charts, which show the best selling titles of the last 90 days, eight of the top 12 best sellers for the device were games.

Games also managed to oust books completely from the top six.

Titles on offer include Mahjohng, Sudoku and a number of word jumble titles. It’s worth noting, too, that games in general are cheaper than Amazon’s digital books, typically costing under $3.99.
