Online retailer Xbite says it can become one of retail’s elite players with its new brand Shop4.
Shop4 is the new face of Xbite and its stable of brands, including gaming outfit 365games and fashion label ZedThredz, which it says will create one unified identity for all of its businesses.
“Xbite has a decade of experience in online retail, starting with just an eBay store and now serving an ever-growing customer base with a diverse range of products and services. It was natural for us to bring everything together under one brand that our customers will recognise,” says Xbite chief executive Steve Thomas.
“Although Xbite’s other brands are still performing strongly, Shop4 is another way for us to diversify, creating new opportunities so we don’t become pigeon-holed into offering one type of product to one type of customer.”
Despite starting out in games, Thomas says Shop4 won’t focus purely on gamers. But the new brand will use the reputation of 365games to target core players.
“Shop4 will allow us to use gaming to reach a broader audience whilst offering non-gaming essentials for customers.
“Our branding isn’t designed for the hardcore gamer alone and because we are branching out and offering clothing, accessories, gadgets and homeware, we are able to attack the market in a way that other pure games retailers can’t.”
