GamesAid Pool Tournament set for next month

UK games industry charity GamesAid will hold a charity pool tournament on September 1st.

The tournament is being sponsored by European manufacturing specialists OK Media. It will be held at the Hurricane Rooms, Kings Cross and kicks off 6pm.

Entry to the competition costs £20 per person. Players will need to make a donation to GamesAid in advance at, and can then email for more information.

Spectators are welcome to come along to the event, and will be asked for a smaller donation of £2 per person.

GamesAid says that experience or skill is "definitely not a pre-requisite to join in the tournament" and encourages players to get into the spirit by wearing traditional pool attire: a bow tie and a waistcoat.

"OK Media is delighted to be sponsoring the first ever GamesAid Pool Tournament," said OK Media's UK MD Doron Garfunkel. "The UK games industry is incredibly supportive of good causes and GamesAid epitomises that support. We hope attendees have a great time at the event and in the process raise lots of money for some great charities."
