The organisers behind the 2011 Gamescom trade fair are encouraging visitors to arrange air travel quickly as event plans take flight.
Gamescom will be held in Cologne from Wednesday, August 17th to Sunday, August 21st.
Koelnmesse has arranged partnerships with airlines Germanwings and Lufthansa to make it easier and cheaper for industry professionals to book flights for the show.
Early bookers in major European cities can order return plane tickets with Germanwings for as little as €30.
Meanwhile, Lufthansa is promising discounts on many of its domestic and international flights.
Visitors can book flights and accommodation through Expedia on the Gamescom website. The UK is this year’s partner country.
“More games, news and innovation can be expected at Gamescom in Cologne,” Koelnmesse’s press officer Franko Fischer told MCV.
