Gamescom hosts international meeting

Cologne’s Gamescom trade event will host a meeting between ‘around a dozen’ member associations from the Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE) next month.

The members will get together in Cologne’s trade fair centre on February 9th and 10th for their first meeting in 2009.

Olaf Wolters, Managing Director of the German Trade Association of Interactive Entertainment Software (Bundesverbandes Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware (BIU)) and Oliver P. Kuhrt, Managing Director of Koelnmesse GmbH will host representatives from France, Great Britain, Italy, Denmark, Sweden and Poland and more.

Even before the start of the meeting, Daniel Hess, President of the Swiss Interactive Entertainment Association (Schweizer Spieleverband SIEA) and an ISFE member, confirmed: As part of the interactive games market, SIEA is looking forward to Cologne and Gamescom.

GamesCom is due to kick off on August 19th. You can read more about it here.

The international trade fair and event platform with its new products, trends and global contact opportunities is the meeting place for 2009 for all players in the Swiss games market. I am convinced of this.”
