Geoff Inns has left GameSpot parent CBS Interactive for IGN owners Ziff Davis.
Inns joins the firm today as VP and MD for Ziff Davis International.
He was previously VP and UK MD of CBS Interactive, the parent company of IGN rival GameSpot. He has also held roles at other big media organisations including Guardian Media Group and Express Newspapers.
Furthermore, he is a member of the Association of Online Publisher’s Executive Committee.
Inns will now report to Chief operating officer Steve Horowitz. He is tasked with building Ziff’s existing properties whilst also targeting new launches and acquisition opportunities.
Along with IGN, Ziff Davis’ properties includes PCMag.com and AskMen.com.
Ziff Davis CEO Vivek Shah said: “With the continued global expansion of our business and growing opportunity for our market-leading brands in new markets, it was important the leader of international business was a recognised voice in our industry. Geoff’s considerable experience will strengthen our talented teams in the UK in Australia and drive the strategy that further builds our position in new territories and additional publishing verticals."
Inns added: “Ziff Davis is a very exciting place to be; it's growing fast, has great brands and is run by smart people who have an abundance of energy and ideas. I'm delighted to join the team and look forward to ensuring the International division delivers against its potential.”
