Game Developers Conference organizers have revealed record attendence numbers for this year's go-round of the annual industry event.
Some 22,500 made their way from all over the world to attend panels, test out new tech, discuss the industry, and more during the conference in San Francisco last week — a 17 per cent rise from 2011's count of 19,000.
"The continued growth of the conference is a great indicator of a healthy and exciting industry," GDC general manager Meggan Scavio explained. “We are very proud to provide the forum for game makers to connect, dialogue, showcase, and learn in sessions, summits, expos and pavilions every year."
The group also announced GDC will return once again next year to San Francisco from March 25th-29th.
