It’s pretty safe to say Gearbox took on one mother of a polished turd with Duke Nukem Forever, but what if the studio had a fresh crack at the IP?
Gearbox president Randy Pitchford may be pushing in that direction, openly expressing to IGN his interest in taking the franchise to another level.
“I think what I would do and what Gearbox would do would be a little different. I think it would be amazing, and I look forward to that,” Pitchford said during an interview on IGN’s Up at Noon program.
Pitchford, in a previous life, worked on the Atomic edition of Duke Nukem 3D for Apogee Software/3D Realms Entertainment before leaving the company in 1997.
