Gears of War producer Chris Wynn departs for Mass Effect team

Epic Games producer Chris Wynn is set to exit the company for a position with BioWare to focus on the future of the Mass Effect series.

The Gears of War 3 lead producer and Gears of War: Judgment senior producer took to twitter to announce his acceptance of his new role as the senior development director on the next title in the hit sci-fi franchise.

Wynn’s exit continues the recent trend of senior staff members leaving the ranks of Epic, including designer Cliff Bleszinski and producer Rod Fergusson.

Not much is known about the upcoming Mass Effect effort, beyond that it will be powered by the Frostbite engine and won’t be a direct sequel to the original trilogy.
