Gem launches new Nintendo site

A new Gem microsite dedicated to Nintendo products is due to go live this month.

The distributor is launching its online service on March 25th – just in time for the UK debut of the 3DS.

The site will serve as a one-stop shop for retailers and provide them with all they need to know about the latest Nintendo releases.

Having a dedicated area on the Gem site for Nintendo will provide our independent customers with access to official marketing assets, POS ordering, in-store training material and more,” Gem’s Nintendo business manager Gemma Walters told MCV.

The microsite portal will also give indies information on Nintendo’s consumer marketing activity, enabling them to align themselves with the market.

As with any new initiative, customers will be invited to give us their feedback so we can be sure the content and information we are sharing is exactly what is needed.”

Any clients that sign up to the new Nintendo microsite between March 25th and April 8th will be entered into a draw to win a Nintendo 3DS. Firms can register at www.gem.co.uk/nintendoreg.

Gem already runs similar sites for Microsoft, Ubisoft, Take-Two and Codemasters.

CREATIVE GETS A REBRAND

Gem has rebooted its in-house design and PR agency.

In addition to a new logo, the division has also seen its team restructured.

Creative will now be searching for new clients to promote its services.

We welcome the chance to show our creative talents to any firms not working with our sales and logistics teams,” said head of marketing Katie Rawlings.
